Our Story

The power of belief.

You cannot ignore when change comes knocking. You either welcome it in and deal with the surprises or ignore it and watch it tear you apart. You cannot hide!

SA Lube has been built on the need for change. We have felt its force and presence since our existence more than 15 years ago. Since then we have been working tirelessly with customers who have been trying to manage their change but have struggled to find business partners who can understand their drive and passion. During this time we have been able to assist these customers to better manage their change and be more secure in their markets allowing them to grow and sustain profitable businesses.

We felt the pressure of change, the 2008 financial crisis, crowded markets, unregulated imports, rising costs, unethical blenders, rampant crime, and the endless impact of endless challenges in our country. Like many of our customers though, we persevered, and where many had fallen short and just given up, together, we endured and still keep fighting on.

In the face of these uncertainties, we relocated premises, employed and developed even more staff, embraced BEE, and kept on delivering on our promises to customers.

SA Lube is about guts and determination. About Passion and a bigger picture. The journey has been tough but through every challenge, we have learned to adapt and improve our business.

We consolidated our Castrol distributorship and expanded our reach. We have grown our market share and increased the number of customers who trust us. Our acceptance in the Castrol Global Ambassadors Club is a testament to our determination and focus.

We have built a stronger and wiser SA Lube.

Our weaknesses have now become our strengths. We can provide insight and expertise to our customers to make sure together we can overcome any challenges.

Our business is grounded upon four fundamental cornerstones; our faith, for which we unashamedly praise and thank God for the blessings and gifts He has bestowed upon us; our customers who have loyally supported us over all the years; our dedicated and committed employees without whom none of this could happen; and Castrol, the green and red that runs through our veins.

Through our actions, we believe that we are South Africas’ most reliable and trusted supplier of Castrol oils and Lubricants.

SA Lube – passion for oil, passion for business.
