SA Lube Success story – Sesana Moloi

Empowering growth, Inspiring excellence

I embarked on my journey with SA Lube in September 2018, armed with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Hospitality Management at an exit Level NQF 7, obtained in 2017. This educational foundation instilled in me a profound understanding of excellent customer service, staff management, and the intricate dynamics of business operations.

In 2018/2019, I joined SA Lube as a receptionist, embracing a diverse range of responsibilities, including filing invoices, managing phone calls, handling orders, sending quotes and proforma invoices, and contributing to various business areas. The collaborative spirit within the team, encompassing Managers, Directors, Admin Team, Warehouse Team, and Sales Team, ensured a supportive environment focused on learning and adherence to established procedures.

During these years, SA Lube invested in continuous learning, sending employees, including myself, to various training courses such as Health & Safety, First Aid, and Fire Fighting. This comprehensive training equipped me to excel in my role and set the stage for my continued growth within the company.

In 2019, my skills evolved, leading to the opportunity to head the company’s Health & Safety functions. Subsequently, I was appointed as an Executive Assistant in 2020, and in May 2023, I was promoted to the role of Operations Manager.

As the Operations Manager, I am entrusted with overseeing all departments across the organization, including newly opened branches in Free State (Welkom & Bloemfontein). This role has broadened my expertise in organizing employee duties, bolstering self-confidence, implementing quality assurance programs, and devising strategic processes for enhanced efficiency.

My journey with SA Lube has not only been marked by professional growth but has also included personal achievements such as obtaining a National Certificate in Generic Management/General Management at NQF Level 5, a Skills Development Facilitator Certificate, and completing courses in Safety Management, Accident & Investigation, and Legal Liability for Managers in Occupational Health & Safety.

I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support and commitment that SA Lube invests in its employees both professionally and personally. Looking ahead, I eagerly anticipate the next five years and beyond, as I continue to thrive and contribute to the success of SA Lube.

Here’s to a future filled with continued growth, shared success, and many more milestones!
